University of Lusaka is established under the University Act of 1999 Parts III and IV. It is duly registered and recognised by the Ministry of Education and relevant Education Authorities.
The University of Lusaka is also a member of the following associations;

The Southern African-Nordic Centre (SANORD)
The Association of African Business Schools (AABS)
